The Bag score is calculated based on the stats of your currently equipped items and so is used as a way to summarise the quality of all your equipment.
It is the average stat value across your items equipped, so finding new items and upgrading will improve this.
Other players can see your Bag score when you enter matches, so start boosting your score for full bragging rights.
